Heroes Unleashed

At De Code Adventures, I'm involved in a very big project where we have to convert our entire facility into an epic and huge room escape. This kind of project needs a lot of artwork so I was requested to do a bunch of things. Luckily, I managed to get my brother, Kevin Agoncillo, on board with the project right after he graduated from Sheridan College, so he was able to lessen my workload and made awesome pieces!

One of the challenging projects I've faced was making a life size dragon. When I was first told to make one, I sarcastically said, "Pssh, make a life size dragon? Tis nothing!" But eventually problems started to arise, such as printing and alignment issues but nonetheless, I managed to pull through. Behold the fruit of my labor with the help of Kevin, Haram and Joseph. With the tight budget we had, it was going to be very expensive to print the dragon's actual size which was about 12.5 ft wide and 8 ft tall. After aligning fifty-five 11"x17" papers together, tracing the cardboard out, gluing them together and then sadly cutting 4 holes out of its body. BAM! Came out the dragon and it will now stand ferociously at De Code Adventure's reception.

Although stressful, it was really fun to be a part of this project. At one point, I suggested that we should do a video shoot to advertise that we are doing a big escape and the idea went through! Few days ago, we hired a videographer and filmed our staff doing things. Each of them represented the main characters in the story. James the Knight, Joseph the Blacksmith, Eugene the Priest and Kristianne the Fairy.

Wedding Invitations

Front and Back of our wedding invitation

Since I'm getting married in 5 months, I quickly put this invite together! James and I are total geeks so it made sense to make one that represents our lifestyle. Inspired by Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft and Dungeons & Dragons, it was really fun to transform a section of Ontario into an old fantasy map and make the RSVP look like a quest request. It was also interesting to use the dragon seal for our envelopes. I've burned myself a couple of times but I think they turned out pretty well with the help of my fiancee.

You probably guessed it by now that our wedding is going to be fantasy themed. So we are making sure that the decorations and attire would reflect that. Check out for more blog posts on our wedding plans & updates!

Bit! The Card Game

"Bit! The Card Game" character line up

I'm excited to announce that "Bit! The Card Game" is finally out on Kickstarter. The creators of the game, Ian Howlett and Ian Yuan, commissioned me to make a poster as one of their project rewards. Now that it's officially out there, I can finally share the work I did for them!

One of the interesting aspect of this project was converting their pixelated characters into my style. Usually it's easier to turn something into a pixel form, but in this case it's the other way around which makes things a little trickier. Hence, the first thing I did was create a character line up. I wanted to make sure that I accurately got their looks and personalities correct. After that was approved, I created the poster!

By the way, I'm not sure if the creators noticed but I have secretly added myself in this poster! Haha! Can you find me? Let me know at the comments below.

Anyway, I'm super stoked that it's out so be sure to click the link to check out this awesome game! Bit! The Card Game

It's been a while since I've updated my blog. Now that I have finally settled into my new life, I'm finally returning to the internet!

Where have I been, you ask?

Well, I moved into a basement apartment with my fiancee. Spent two months trying to geek the house out and started preparing on my wedding. Let me give you a tour of the place!
